Foundation XV Member BPA Quality Complete the Race to the Stones

Foundation XV member BPA Quality have yet again exceeded their pledge to the Foundation and completed another fantastic challenge.

As an organisation, they aim to organise a team event every year to raise funds for the Exeter Chiefs Foundation. Previous years have seen them attempt the 3 Peaks Challenge, 24 Peaks Challenge & The Race to the Kings.

This year BPA Quality participated in the Threshold Sports RACE TO THE STONES 2021 event. This 100km route is completed over 2 days from Lewknor to Avebury, passing Iron Age forts, ancient burial chambers, cross the mighty Thames and the mystical down-lands of Salisbury plain on the way to the finish line at the 3,000-year-old stone circle at Avebury.

One of the BPA Quality team that undertook this adventure - Mark Turner explained; "We had a mix of walkers and runners and pleased to say we all finished just in time to catch the Euro Final between England and Italy. Lots of blisters, lots of fun and already looking forward to launching our event for 2022!"

Over 30 members of the BPA Team took part in the event, raising almost £6000 for the Exeter Foundation (£5,725 inc Gift Aid), which we are super proud of.'

Trustee Keiron Northcott added, "The BPA team are always so supportive of the Foundation and we are always amazed at the feats their team achieve in order to raise funds.  As a charity, we rely on support from our local community and local businesses in order to in tur support the wider community.  The amount raised by the Race to the Stones challenge is amazing - on behalf of the Exeter Chiefs Foundation and my fellow Trustees, we thank you!"

The Foundation XV members, of which BPA Quality are one, pledge to raise at least £1,500 in any given season.  This can be raised in a variety of ways and we encourage businesses to engage with their workforce to be creative in coming up with ideas.  To find out more about the Foundation XV and how to become a member, please contact enquiries@exeterchiefsfoundation.org.uk.
