Bruce walks from Land's End to Exeter

Exeter business-man and former rugby player Bruce Priday has challenged himself to walk from Land's End to Northernhay Gardens in Exeter in order to raise awareness for the homeless of Exeter and much-needed funds for local and national charities.

Bruce, who is still recovering from deep vein surgery on both legs, will aim to walk the 282 miles along the coastal path and up the Exe Estuary, sleeping rough each night and only drinking fruit and vegetable juices, finishing within 14 days at Northernhay Gardens.

Money raised from the walk will go towards the Atlas Foundation, which has been set up by Bruce and Jason Leonard as a legacy vehicle emanating from his Presidency of the RFU in this Rugby World Cup.

Funds will also go towards the 19240 Shrouds of the Somme installation, which will see a memorial installation which will resonate for years and generate huge civic pride. Finally, Bruce is fundraising for the Exeter Foundation.
