Following the success of the Exeter Chiefs in Saturday's semi-final against Newcastle Falcons, Exeter Chiefs Cycling Club are organising a two-day cycle ride to Twickenham to join the Chiefs at the Aviva Premiership Final this Saturday.

The plan is to ride in a relay in pairs to Basingstoke on Day 1 (Friday, May 25) and then cycle the final 35 miles to Twickenham on Saturday morning to arrive at Twickenham mid-morning.

Cyclists will leave Sandy Park on Friday at 7am and will pair up and cycle in a relay for the 150 miles to Basingstoke. Overnight accommodation has been arranged in Basingstoke before the cycle team head for the capital and Exeter's final showdown against Saracens at 3pm.

The ride will be supported during the day and The Sussex Arms in Twickenham has offered to provide welcome drinks and some food on our arrival. For those who are not being met there, transport can be arranged for the bikes to bring them back to Exeter. Depending on numbers transport back may also be arranged.

The cost to enter the ride is £150 to include full support on the ride, overnight accommodation and access to tickets for the final at Twickenham (these will need to be paid for separately) All remaining funds will be donated to the Exeter Chiefs Foundation.

Anyone wishing to join this ‘hastily arranged’ event – please contact David Cosford on 07710 650300 or by email david.cosford@5dgroup.co.uk to book their place.
