Exeter Chiefs Cycling Club plan trip to Toulouse

Exeter Chiefs Cycling Club will head to Toulouse next month to raise funds for good causes based in around the city.

The team of 18 cyclists and their three support crew will fly to Bilbao to begin the 320-mile journey to the Stadium de Toulouse for Exeter Chiefs’ Investec Champions Cup game there on Sunday, 18 October.

David Cosford, from the Exeter Chiefs Cycling Club, said: “While the team is all set for this season’s trip, this is an annual challenge, and we are always happy to hear from anyone else who would like to join us for future trips. We are not expert cyclists, by any means, and the club also run a social ride on Sunday mornings, so more the merrier as far as we are concerned.”

The aim of the ride is to raise money for Exeter Chiefs Foundation and the team has already raised £3,750. Extra donations can be made here.

Last year’s ride took the team from Sandy Park to Mattioli Woods Welford Road and raised £14,000 for the Foundation. Since the annual trips started, the Exeter Chiefs Cycling Club has raised £161,000.
