Exeter Chiefs Foundation present £85k to designated charities
Nearly 50 representatives from charities from the greater Exeter area have taken receipt of their share of Exeter Chiefs Foundation’s matchday bucket collections and car parking donations.
These 26 designated charities provided volunteers for every Exeter Chiefs men’s and women’s match day to collect funds for the Foundation.
They were rewarded for their efforts with a share of the total £85,804 that was collected last season.
The Foundation’s chairman Tony Rowe CBE and trustees Karime Hassan MBE and Kieron Northcott presented a group cheque to the designated charities group at half-time of Exeter Chiefs’ PREM Rugby Cup victory over Bristol Bears on Saturday.
The charity representatives also enjoyed the game from seats in the West Grandstand.
Rowe said: “We are grateful for the hard work displayed by the volunteers from these charities last season, but we are also thankful for all the donations made by our fans. This money will help support the good work being carried out by these charities in our community, so thank you for playing your part.”
The designated charities for the 2026/27 season have already been selected and are listed here.
